"THE KING'S SPEECH" TRIUNFA EN LOS PREMIOS DEL CINE INDEPENDIENTE BRITÁNICO


- "The King's Speech" se lleva 5 premios: película, actor, actor secundario, actriz secundaria y guión.
- La otra gran protagonista es "Monsters" que le arrebata a Tom Hooper mejor director.
- Carey Mulligan gana por segundo año consecutivo mejor actriz.

Pero los British Independent son extraños, porque por lo general estan muy repartidos. Y en muchas ocasiones la que gana mejor película no siempre triunfa en dirección o guión.
Estoy contento por Carey Mulligan a la que espero ver nominada a los Golden Globe y Bafta. Y por no sería raro tenerla como nominada al Oscar nuevamente, y sobre todo con tanta competencia britanica y juvenil.
De las actrices del Reino Unido que compiten por la nominación al Oscar estan: Lesley Manville (tiene bastantes posibilidades luego de ganar el NBR), Sally Hawkins, Tilda Swinton, Helen Mirren, y Obvio Mulligan, sin embargo, Carey ya tiene una nominación y en vez de restarle posibilidades creo que le ayuda, ya que la Academia busca en muchas veces rostros conocidos para nominar y ella (Mulligan) se ha ganado un espacio en Hollywood a diferencia de Hawkins y Manville. Recordemos lo que pasó este año cuando Helen Mirren le quitó la nominación a Emily Blunt por The Young Victoria.
Y si le sumamos que de las actrices jovenes Mulligan está por sobre Jennifer Lawrence en talento puede perfectamente la britanica conseguir su segunda nominación.

Muy coherentes y desde luego premios a seguir, Gareth Edwards mejor director que muchos profesionales pero no es el mejor director revelación...

Carey Mulligan – Never Let Me Go, era obvio con esas otrs en competencia...
